what to do first about a new language??

If you want to learn a language, the first thing you should do is what??

What i've been told to do first was to know how to say everything in my room...

But after several years, i know so many weird other things' name but still couldn't be able to name certain stuff i use everyday....

Sometimes it is easy to express your mind, but hard to even describe a tiny stuff....

We were asked to know how to say every part of our bodies ( similiar to the point i mentioned at the beginning)....

He designed this funny cartoon himself and made it much more fun....

It's been kept for almost 3 years ( OMG, how could my french still be so rusty after THREE years??!!!)....

What lucky is, i could name every part of my body in french now.....^_*

Incentive Of Learning

i still remember my first piece of oral composition in french , we were asked to describe one scene of a designated film, it was about an ambitious soldier... of coures i still keep the draft and i'll never forget that day... that made me quite proud of myself...

It is my own experience that drives me to consider between whiles," what is the original incentive for kids to learn sth? e.g , a language" , i was once told the 'XXX effect' ( forget the exact term), about a person can do much better than his intrinsic ability as we put external stimulation, simply we set the action that one will perform in front of the public... so it might be one reason why we call for a group learning, it is the 'sensitive-of -reputation' care that spur oneself.....

No doubt that it is the internal interest itself offers us endless power, but another factor we have to admit is, learning is quite complicated a course, any positive stimulation will count. The point is, find your own way... the more important point is , we teachers should dig out every kid's special side.. that is really a long way to go....
