whirligig of fate

To say that the ox has just taken the post, my year of fate( the rat one) is finally gone... longed for this day for quite a while as it is said to be ill-fated in the year of one's own animal sign...

So it's obviously not weird to say one prays every day, not for a good luck ,but actually not to be dog-ass, that's enough... that's me...

Anyway, it was an ordinary year, no miracle but many nice and warm moments lasting on and on for me to get a even better aftertaste...

I was told that the year after your year of fate will mostly be a lucky one that God will favour you a lot ^_^ That'll be great!! Do not cop on me :)

Let's see what i'll say this same moment next year, see if i will be favoured by the whirligig fate...

Wish you all a lucky dog too :)

NO SMOKING

No matter how creasy my face turned out to be, there's still a thing called 'curiosity' gleamingly emerged in your mind ^_^

Why it looks like that? How it turns out to be that? Will there be sth. hidden inside waiting for you to unveil?......This 'evergreen' desire to know those fancy, unknown stuff hovered in your mind from time to time keep the life always be different. It makes your life less boring, but more fun ^_*

No people around me smoke, so not easy to find a cigarette nearby. Before that i even cannot figure out which part is the so-called filter tip, lol, anyway, got lots of fun while taking it apart... u able to tell the quality by smelling it? may only a heavy smoker could do that ...??
Anyway, the point is , shown in the last picture, no smoking :)

nostalgia

Is there a tune ever can touch the nostalgia chord in your heart?

It recurs the days gone for ever...

It relights the heartthrob you thought would never back again...

It brings back your erstwhile companions...

It amazingly sets the clock backwards for years...

It mystically joints you and a stranger nearby...

And finally, it softly takes your tears away...

wish you all a warm new year...

see these little kids? something weird? different from other kids you've ever seen, yeah???

They are orphans... abandoned by their parents to be precise... the leading reason of being abandoned is their inborn disease...cleft lip & cleft palate... or mental retardation...anyway, they're not common kids, they have this or that "limitation"...they even didn't get the chance to see how their parents look like then fortune's wheel took them here--- Angel's home ( a kindergarten in my living community), it's a non-profit organization promoted by several kind ladies...

The warm little home entirely covered only no more than 70m2 , with 4 or 5 nannies.... when my friend and i were welcomed in, i could see this simply decorated house was full of joyment ( though i know the suffering behind it), it was their dinner time, nanny fed them with tiny lovely bowls and the house was overflew with the fragrance of rice ... they each had a baby walker, a nanny told me those all were donated by kind-hearted people, they got the info. on net and came by to do what they can...

www.smiletrain.org

no matter it is a babywalker or diapers or even some baby tissues... i think they can feel the love from we strangers... well actually , to cure their disease as soon as possible counts more, as the 'smile train fund' is spread in most cities in china, for better consideration, for the long run in their future lives, that is the best way...

it should definitely be a joyful day as the lunar new year is coming in 11 hours, but it is them, the vulnerable group, do need more care....

have u met the SAME NAME????

The postgraduate entrance exam took place last weekend, i saw this name sheet put up on the notice board around the main plaza, and saw this COGNOMINAL gal........ the moment..... not easy to picture well and truly but still pretty excited..... it drove you to image if we meet one day, okay the one in front of you , actually get the same name with you!! no matter how he/she acts, his/her voice sounds like crow or cuckoo.. you two share the SAME NAME!!

The most fabulous thing is, the next day, i found there stood two more notice boards with also countless names.... i passed by and suddenly an old guy jump into my eyes, this time it is a HE!!!!, the same name with me ......awful a pity my camera was not with me!! and my grandpa-level cellphone cannot shoot... or you could see two pictures :(

Anyway it was no doubt a funny experience, i once crashed into a posts bar naming "gaoyan", and shocked to see so many guys sharing this name....

Have u got the same experience??? i guess some of you will say 'yeah' but some not...... is your name probably be shared also by both garcon or fille? ^_^

Doodle in the evening of a Tuesday...

(when i was little)
Did i know many years later, everybody has to fight for the daily bread and butter? have to consider where the next meal is from? Life is like a game of chess, i hold my chessman but donno where to put them?
(pix shot in the subway, yesterday)
Every time i step onto and walk across this huge , shining chessboard, it recalls me the precious childhood days... have i fulfill everybody's expectation all the way long ? did i fail the hope everybody pin on me? did i let them down?. did i do well in the chess game? ....but life is not completely as playing chess as we cannot come back again.....

(pix shot in Summer Palace in 2007)
Sometimes, change the angle to view those 'be-used-to' things, you might find many things have their hidden sides or say that might accidentally open a brand-new door of the fiddle-faddle life....who knows?

(pix shot on the ceiling of the place where i worked last year)
Surely someday you might find the superman in your life.... as when i looked up my head and see.... in a snug afternoon...... have u found your superman??

spicy..hot..pot..whatever

A Sichuan Restaurant near XiDan, we ordered beef, asparagus, omasum, chicken wing, dried toufu(?)... they fried them together with typical SiChuan pepper...... soooooo hoooooot but hit the spot ^_^
Afterwards.....

Me and dongdong

It was not a nice move that we ordered juice rather than milk, esp. the juice was hot!!! Pepper met with hot water.....cool.....lol....

In dongdong's hand was the free dessert offered by a 'transvestite' waiter ( sorry to say so, but comments about this restaurant on Internet all stood on my side).... The dessert was great, special kinda gruel made of corn added sugar.. yummy.....

After cramming the stomach, a short comment would always be the next delicacy.......

Cheers....

me , dongdong and dengzi.....

Incentive Of Learning

i still remember my first piece of oral composition in french , we were asked to describe one scene of a designated film, it was about an ambitious soldier... of coures i still keep the draft and i'll never forget that day... that made me quite proud of myself...
It is my own experience that drives me to consider between whiles," what is the original incentive for kids to learn sth? e.g , a language" , i was once told the 'XXX effect' ( forget the exact term), about a person can do much better than his intrinsic ability as we put external stimulation, simply we set the action that one will perform in front of the public... so it might be one reason why we call for a group learning, it is the 'sensitive-of -reputation' care that spur oneself.....
No doubt that it is the internal interest itself offers us endless power, but another factor we have to admit is, learning is quite complicated a course, any positive stimulation will count. The point is, find your own way... the more important point is , we teachers should dig out every kid's special side.. that is really a long way to go....
See what's on the cover of my notebook above? " LE FRANCAISE EST PRES DE VOUS"(french is around you), ideal is fleshy while reality is skinny, find your way to enrich it, once you know your way, you're underway.....

MY AFTERNOON

Strolling around the city in a warm winter afternoon, with a piece of newspaper, some snacks, a camera, above all, a free mind...even if no clear destination, will never be bothered with the annoying 'to do list', but do as what you like...see what the momentary blankness of mind is like, why not be a hermit for a short period of time? Even half a day is okay, be true to your mind, and then back to the original orbit with better mood.
Will you?

Coins

Could call it a hard job to remember the day i began loving collecting coins. And my first several collections were actually missing [esp.with two from Burma accidentally dropped into the crack of the floor on a bus:( ....]

Practically i never set it seriously as one of my hobbies but all are optional collections from friends. The point is, i gradually found it is actually this amateurish, unprofessional way made the most fun, without bothering with racking my brains to dig where the next coin is hiding, i got my collections all by chance(except the vietnam one bought from the border while travelling), so surely going with surprise, it might right be the charming of it ? guess so...

Another fun is i could tell stories of each coin, to be precise, who/where/how/when...... just as we put the clock back years... and where there is no jet lag, heart can beat with the rhythmn of the world..wow.....gone too far... okay, see what i got so far, coins from..

H.K / UK/ Korea/TaiWan/Indonesia/NLG(before Euro)/Vietnam/Ethiopia/Malaysia/Singapore/FRF(before Euro)/DEM( before Euro)/ Euro (France)/Euro(Germany)/Thailand/...

If you got other coins not in my list, would you trade some with me?

DIY SNACKS

Yearning for the days we made snacks ourselves in the dorm, the only equipment for us was a worm-eaten microwave. The right one was my masterpiece, pretty easy but should still be considered as a delicacy for snacks. The stuff we need are quite facile, milk, egg,and 3-4 slices of toast, and don't forget sugar, that's all, and a microwave also shouldn't be drop out the list :)
1)Cut the toast into four equal-sized pieces;
2)Dip the small piece toast into the milk double sides.
3)Beat up 2 eggs with eggbeater or chopsticks till they bubble, then add sugar to the egg cream;
4)Dip the toast into the egg cream ,also double sides, the more the possible :)
5) okay the first phase work is done now, and put the box in the microwave , medium heat for 40s--60s, that depends on how you want your egg done.
6) Done!! Enjoy the delicacy with your family, friends or just enjoy it alone in a sunny afternoon, cool~~
See it? quite easy but with lots of fun, c'est la vie, n'est-ce pas?Things would be different rest with how you view it. ^_^
